Do you have delivery service?
Yes. We offer delivery service through our partnership with Doordash, UberEats, and Grubhub.
Is Vanida still under the same ownership?
Yes. We are still the same family that first opened Vanida’s door back in 1991.
Can you do large order for catering/events?
Of course. We do provide service for catering/large orders all the time for local schools and community events. We appreciate one-day advance notice, if at all possible.
Do you still have the “Lunch Combination”?
Yes, our classic offer is now called “Combo Specials”, but still the same thing; the SINGLE or TWO selections that comes with steamed premium jasmine rice, and a side of salad or coconut soup.
Any option for Vegetarian/Vegan?
We have many options for vegetarian/vegan. Since Thai food does not have a lot of dairy components, many of our dishes can easily be made vegetarian/vegan.
What about Gluten-free?
We do provide gluten-free options. Please ask the staff for our gluten-free menu. Please also understand that some dishes are not suitable for gluten-free option.
Do you use MSG?
Unlike many other restaurants, we DO NOT use any added MSG because our family is quite allergic to it (you know the thirsty sensation, lightheadedness, bitter-taste, etc.). There may already be some amount that’s naturally occurred in some sauces, but we do our best to avoid it as much as possible.
Can I buy the large picture of the girl in red?
Unfortunately, the picture is (currently) not for sale. The original file for that picture is lost due to a hard drive failure, and we have no way to reproduce that picture ever again. (It’s the picture I took of my daughter back in 2013)
What does “Vanida” mean?
“Vanida” is my grandmother’s name. It is a common Thai name that means “lady”.
